A little perspective...

IT IS the most wonderful time of the year...No doubt about it.

We have a whole load of wonderful things coming up..giving and receiving presents...eating the most wonderful..filling (in more than one way!) food...relaxing in the cosiness of our own homes.

Sometimes we can get a little wrapped up in Christmas. We don't fully appreciate what we have got...we are always striving for more...wanting more.

I came across this video whilst searching online for Clothes..

I felt that I didn't have enough..

I wanted more..

I wanted to indulge...

THIS video gave me a lot of perspective... Please watch it!!!

A bit of a tear jerker but what he says is true. This man is a true inspiration.

We all need to focus on what we HAVE rather than what we don't have...big or small.

We all need to remember that there is always someone less fortunate than ourselves.

All we can do is make the best out of what we have...and help others.

In light of this I'm going to do a weekly post on what I am thankful for in the weeks running up to Thanksgiving in the US.

* I am thankful for a whole week off next week! It's half term here in the UK. It will allow me to spend more time  and keep cosy with my family.

* I am thankful to feel happy and healthy!

* I am thankful to be able to go upstairs and hop into the shower whenever I feel to.

Please feel free to join in on your blog!!!! Let me know if you do so we can have some linky love ; -)

I hope you all have a lovely weekend...

  1. Hi Gemma,
I have known of, as well as
    prayed for, dear Nick for
many years. He is a wonderful
    inspiration to all. I love
I have been writing my gratitude
list of 1,000 Gifts along with
    Ann Voskamp's readers for a
while now. I am up to 600 and
    something. Over half way there.
    Remembering and posting all I
have to be thankful for every
    day has literally changed my
life and the way I view things.

I'd love to hear from you, even if you are just passing by! Leave a comment below and I will always reply to it using the 'reply' button...so be sure to check back!
