Valentines in London

On Valentines day Ian had a day off so we decided to go into London. I have to admit we don't make the most of London, which is just a 45 minute tube ride away.

We forgot it was half-term (the usual museums would be full of children!!) so we went to the Tate modern art gallery as something to do.

St. Paul's Cathedral..

Opposite the Cathedral is the millennium bridge...

Hello!

From the bridge (which used to shake way too much!!) you walk over the river Thames..

The Globe Theatre

The Tate modern art gallery was something to do but we both agreed we wouldn't rush back there again.

The art is what i'd say was 'interesting'...

We wouldn't call ourselves the most artistic of people so we couldn't really appreciate what some of the exhibits were trying to convey.

On our way back to the station we had a nose around a few streets and found an American Sandwich shop that we were addicted to when we were in Florida!

I was so happy to find one here and that they could cater for my allergy. It was weird being in there without having shorts and flip-flops on!

I hope your having a good week.

I'll be back soon with a little giveaway : )

  4. A good day out! I agree with you about the so called Art, I'm afraid I cant see it as Art at all.

  5. Thanks for your comment Gem, I hope i shall feel more energetic soon!

I love London and really enjoy spending time just musing round the museums. I never knew that Earl of sandwich was in London. Where about is it? My hubby loves this place and enjoyed far too many of them whilst out in Las Vegas earlier this year.

    1. Hello!

Earl of Sandwich is literally a minute walk away from outside the cathedral. I don't know the road name but if you look online it should say on there.

The Hawaiian BBQ is my favourite!

  7. Hey Gem,
Sounds like you had a good day in London, although the 'art' is not very 'arty' is it!??
Answering your question...i kind of live both places, I keep a lot of my stuff at home, but spend 3 days/evenings a week at Alberts. He doesn't have space for all my clothes otherwise I would be more likely to live there full time! Also, he has no washing machine!! Not great - but there is just no space for it! Its kinda weird but I get the best of both I guess!
I'm sure you've said before, but are you still at home? x
