I thought I'd share with you all how my bedroom is now looking after it had a drastic make over.
I had written about it ages ago but it took forever/I kept forgetting/I couldn't be bothered in all honesty!
Now it's spring again I thought I'd make use of the good light and finally share some photos.
For new readers here are a few pictures of getting the room ready...
My parents were lovely enough to let me have the loft room when it was converted as I was a teenager and I needed some space away from my little sister and brother.
The room was plain white. It didn't really have many decorations or pictures and it needed some personality.
I wanted a wall covered in some Laura Ashley wallpaper and the rest of it painted a warm cream. I wanted little dots of colour and interest around the room to help it feel more cosy.
I made these heart sticks from a tutorial I found on Cherry Menlove. They make me happy.
Opposite my vintage TV is open floor and a sofa....
I love cushions and throws. They really make it feel more welcoming and just makes anyone want to sit in that corner.
The wallpaper is really pretty.
It runs along the main wall in my room.
To the right of the sofa is my bed and wardrobe.
I'm still in love with my quilt.
And my orchid.
I picked up these candle holders on sale in a garden center a few years back. They look slightly Moroccan in style so I had to have them. You never know where you will find treasure these days.
Opposite my wardrobe is my work desk/craft area.
The yellow storage drawers were given to me. It's perfect for keeping felt in.
I love the pop of colour and the fact that the paint is lightly chipped.
Lastly more hearts! These are on the window seal in my hallway.
I don't know if you noticed but I love hearts! There are probably too many in one room, but my plan is that when we get our own place they will be spread throughout the property so it wont look so bad....right?!
So there you have it. I hope you liked it!
P.s - I had my second driving lesson today and went onto main roads. I held my breath and just went for it. Thank you for all your encouragement!
