7 Honest, Random but True facts about me...

I received this award from Victoria and Claire. Thank you both so much !

I'm going to break the rules (I'm crazy I know!) and let anyone join in. I have a feeling this award has gone around and come back again in recent weeks!

Here are 7 honest, random but true facts about me and my life:

1. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 17. I know a lot of women suffer with this (Victoria Beckham for one!), but there is always a worry in the back of my mind that I won't be able to have children. It's a bridge I will cross when the time comes.

2. I dislike being on my own. I can cope being home alone for an hour or so but I would go a little crazy and end up talking to the dog otherwise.

3. I'm already thinking about Christmas time. I love that time of year and I am truly looking forward to Autumn so I can start to put my blankets to good use!

4. Mexican food is my favourite, with Italian at a close second.

5. I start a day thinking "today I will eat healthily, nothing bad". 99% 90% of the time I fail at this. Chocolate gets the better of me in one way or another and that really disappoints me.

6. My latest obsession is Instagram! I'm known to hog the OH's ipad to have  a nose and admire everyone's lovely pictures. We have a good old chat and swap ideas, it's so much fun! I'm gemma_gld on there so come and find me & join in!

7. I'm terrified of spiders. Eep!

Happy Wednesday!

Gemma xXx

  1. I have PCOS too and as you know, I have the Prince and the Princess. No trouble at all with conception, although I was told it could take me years......two months later I was accidentally pregnant!
My weight is the main PCOS issue. I have no control over it. I have clothes ranging from 10-18. Currently in the 14-16 size. Want to be a 10-12 but like you, chick chock gets the better of me daily.
    Loving your facts dear Gem.

  5. Hi Gem,
I have PCOS too and with a little help of clomid i got pregnant with Joey at the first round of treatment. I have know people that got pregnant without any medication at all. It can be a bit harder, bit not impossible. :) What makes me mad with this condition is the weight gain and hardness to get some off and the face hair grown. The second being the thing I hate the most!!! Grrrrrrrr!!!

  7. Hi Gemma
I love posts like this, probably because I'm nosy!
I had some scans and tests to see if I have PCOS but nothing was confirmed, the doctors said I have a healthy hormone balance and I don't have any other symptoms except being completely irregular. I have a crippling fear of not being able to be a mother when the time comes as I've seen it happen in my family but like you I just think to myself I will deal with that when it happened otherwise I'd spend all day crying and rocking in the corner!
I just made some self-cover buttons from Christmas fabric... shh don't tell anyone :)
    I'm on instagram too, I'm a bit of a newbie I'm @Suemariev
