Jars for storage.

This past Christmas Ian got some 'Hope and Greenwood' sweeties. Unfortunately they may contain nuts so I couldn't try any but to be honest I had my eye on the packaging!

The brands style is like an old fashioned sweet shop, it's very fun & bright. When it comes to home decor I would say I dabble between modern and old/vintage style, so these fun jars are right up my street!

I've only recently found a way to use the jars, to store all my colourful cotton spools.

They fit in the jar really nicely.

I usually keep all my cotton in drawers hidden away so it's nice to have all this colour on show.

I have another jar this size plus a much bigger one made of plastic. It would be a shame to throw them away, I just need to think of a way to use them!

What do you use nice jars for? I need some ideas : )

  1. Hi Gemma, I save glass jars too! I use them in my pantry to hold chocolate chips, coconut, & marshmallows. It keeps them fresh and then I don't have half empty bags all over the place. I've also seen that you can use them to hold cupcake wrappers too! I love your thread idea. The colors look so pretty through the jar! : )

  2. I love using jars for storage. I have a spagetti jar to store all my cupcake cases in. Another jar I use for my buttons, another one for cotton reels and another for bobbins. I'm sure there are plenty of other things I could find to store in jars to but then it is having somewhere to display all the jars. At the minute mine are all in a cupboard but I'm hoping as soon as I get my own place I can have them out on show somewhere :) x x x x

  3. Love those jars Gem! I have some large old fashioned sweetie jars in my kitchen that are filled with fairy lights :)
