Hello September...

And just like that, Autumn has arrived. September is here and all of a sudden there is that chill in the air in the mornings. Leaves outside are turning and my cosy cardigans and boots are waiting in my wardrobe ready to strut their stuff again.

I'm finding as time is going by I'm becoming more and more crafty. Along with sewing and crochet I have now embarked on a little cross stitch. I spotted someone on Instagram making up a Christmas tree.

As soon as I saw it I wanted to make it (even though I have never done cross stitch in my life!). I searched online & asked a few bloggers and eventually someone was kind enough to scan and send it to me. Thank you so much Martha!!!

Here is mine so far...

I absolutely love it and am looking forward to framing it for this festive season.

I don't know why but when it gets colder I feel like I naturally want to craft more and more. The idea of snuggling down with my crochet, a huge cup of tea and a good film is more than appealing! Do you agree?

So apart from being excited about the change in the season, i'm also excited about a little break away with the OH that is coming up. This Thursday we are heading off to Whitstable in Kent for a few days. The plan is to have leisurely walks along the coast, see the Cathedral, eat lots of good food and do lots of shopping (a trip to Cath Kidston is what I'm looking forward to!).

I will of course blog about it when i'm back but I will be Instagraming if you want to have a look see. I'm gemma_gld : )

  8. I totally agree with you about feeling more crafty in Autum. As soon as it get's cold I light a candle, put on my favorite movie, and I want to do something homey - like bake or sew. It's just something in the air : )
