We are buying a house!!

After many viewings and searching endlessly online we have finally found a house! Aaah! It's still early days as anything could go wrong up until the keys are in our hands, but it's finally happening! For those of you who have read my blog for a while will know we've been saving for years. Now it's finally happening we are both excited yet petrified of the whole process. It's all very grown up going to mortgage meetings, choosing a solicitor and getting life insurance quotes(!).

The house needs some work doing to it but we are up for the challenge. The windows need replacing and the kitchen needs ripping out and starting over. At the moment the cupboards are a nice forest green with red, yellow and green tiles. Lovely! I've been pinning like a mad woman recently looking for inspiration, there are so many beautiful kitchens out there.

The bedrooms and bathroom aren't huge so again I've been on Pinterest for clever storage ideas and making the most of the space we will have. Once we are actually in we will have a better idea of the rooms and how we will have our furniture laid out. Until then we have a few ideas to make it feel bigger (moving doorways, knocking down a wall) but we shall see!

I can't wait to share the whole process here on my blog. I'm hoping to do lots of d├ęcor inspiration posts, before & afters and DIY tutorials. Once we've settled down I'm hoping to do a lot more gardening and foodie posts too. Eek i'm so excited! After nearly 9 years together we will finally have our own home : )
