Bake Box Subscription Review

I was so excited to get the chance to review a new subscription box called Bake Box. This bimonthly subscription box is designed for bakers who want to expand their repertoire and bakeware. It's the first of its kind in the UK and I think it will be ever so popular with novice & experienced bakers alike.

When seeing the packaging I absolutely loved the simplicity & colour of Bake Boxes design, such a pretty lilac colour box. I couldn't wait to open it up and see what was inside.

When opening the lid the first thing you see is an envelope with 6 recipe cards. The recipes clear instructions and beautiful photography gives you some inspiration on how you can use your new bakeware/tools. The chocolate bundt cake is at the top of my list, look how amazing it looks. Definitely a show stopper!

Inside January's subscription box was a silicone bundt mould, i've been wanting a bundt tin for ages so I was so excited to see this.

There was also a dress shaped cookie cutter, pink gel food colouring by ProGel (I love their food colouring, bright colours and no horrible taste) and a few other cutters/plungers/crimpers perfect for sugar craft.

Lastly there was a piping bag & nozzle, a silicone matt and templates to help create lots of different designs on your chosen bakes.

I love the variety of tools in the January box. Some I know how to use and others I'll need to learn and experiment with a bit, but that's the beauty of baking. I think this subscription box would definitely help to expand my skill set and encourage me to try new techniques and bakes. I absolutely love baking and can't wait to have a play with my new goodies.

Bake box is £14.99 plus P&P for a bimonthly subscription, each box contains at least £40 worth of equipment so it's fairly great value. You also automatically receive complimentary access to the Bake club website which is full of masterclass videos and bonus recipes.

Thank you Bake Box!

Happy 2016

Tulips to brighten up these grey January days

Hello & Happy 2016! This week has been our first week back at work since the Christmas break, it has been a big shock to system (especially that 7am alarm!).

The Christmas break was amazing; we had 16 days off in total which was much needed after all the hard work we put into renovating our first home last year. Between all the festivities and snoozy mornings we went to Harry Potter Studios, Alladin the Pantomime and celebrated a few birthdays. As always I had some serious post-christmas blues but onwards and upwards.

Now 2016 is here it is time to get serious with our wedding planning, only 267 days to go! Eek! There is A LOT left to do and I can't wait to get organised. Give me a few weeks and i'm sure i'll find my feet with it all.

Till next time,

Gemma x
